وتطمح هذه المحاولة إلى تقديم أفكار كل منهم في مساهمته ومجاله ودوره بصيغة السؤال والجواب، بصيغة المحاورة، في الفكر، واللغة، والتاريخ، والشعر، والرواية، والمسرح، والرسم، والموسيقى، والإعلام والصورة. وقد اختار المؤلف لكل مجال شخصية تمثله وتجسده برمزه. واختيار هؤلاء الاعلام ينبع من اقتناع قوي بأنهم خير ممثلين لحقولهم ونصوص إبداعهم، ولكن الاقتناع بذلك لا يعني قطعاً حصر كل الأبعاد، فهم نماذج تمثيلية وليست حصرية.
