نطل على أطفالنا الأعزاء بعالم جديد وحديث سوف تألفونه سريعاً، وتتشوقون إلى اكتشاف أسراره، إنه عالم الطرح... كتابنا هذا يتناول عمليات الطرح بمختلف جوانبها: ففي القسم الأول: يقوي الطفل سرعة ملاحظته عبر مجموعات في الصور يميز فيها الأكبر والأصغر حجماً. وفي القسم الثاني: يمرن الطفل خياله وعقله على التركيز وحذف الصور التي تخرج عن إطار المجموعة ككل ويتعلم من خلالها طريقة الطرح الأفقية والعمودية.
وفي القسم الثالث: يبدأ الطفل التمييز بين خانة الآحاد والعشرات، ومن ثم ينتقل إلى عمليات الطرح ذات العددين: الأول في خانة الآحاد والثاني في خانة العشرات. أما في القسم الرابع فيجمع الطفل أصدقاؤه الحيوانات ويبدأ معهم التمرين على عمليات الطرح عبر موضوعات وحزازير تتطلب منه اكتشاف حلولها، وصور ملونة عليه نزعها وإلصاقها في مكانها المناسب، وأخيراً يتضمن هذا الكتاب صفحتين تتناولان قصصاً لطيفة ومسلية يقرأها الولد ويحل عقدها بسهولة.
