تبحث هذه الدراسة شخصية المرأة في القصة القصيرة في الأردن (1970- 1990)، من خلال الكشف عن أهم النماذج الإجتماعية، والمواقف الوطنية للمرأة في الأردن، كما عكستها القصص القصيرة موضع الدراسة.
تقع الدراسة في تمهيد وثلاثة فصول، يبحث التمهيد في مسيرة القصة القصيرة في الأردن منذ نشأتها الأولى، وحتى نهاية عقد الثمانينيات مع الكشف عن أهم النماذج النسائية التي طرحها الرواد الأوائل.
ويبحث الفصل الأول في النماذج الإجتماعية الرئيسية، والمواقف الوطنية للمرأة في الأردن بوصفها أماً وزوجة وابنة وعانساً وإمرأة عاملة، وأما الفصل الثاني فيبحث في علاقة المرأة بوصفها ثيمة أدبية قصصية، بالنسيج الفني الذي ظهرت به تلك القصص، وأما الفصل الثالث من الدراسة، فيبحث في دور المرأة الكاتبة في تصوير قضايا ومشكلات المرأة في الأردن من خلال كتاباتها القصصية القصيرة.
وقد وضعت المؤلفة في نهاية الرسالة فهرساً يشمل المجموعات القصصية الأردنية المنشورة ما بين عامي 1950- 1990، لإفادة الدارسين والباحثين وإعانتهم على دراسة أوفى وأشمل للقصة القصيرة في الأردن فكرياً وفنياً.
