هذا كتاب حاشية العالم أحمد الطحاوي على مراقي الفلاح شرح نور الإيضاح في مذهب الإمام الأعظم أبي حنيفة النعمان رضي الله عنه فقد قال المؤلف عنه في بداية كتابه هذا: لما كان من الواجب صناعة على كل مصنف ثلاثة أشياء البسملة والحمدلة والصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ومن الجائز أربعة مدح الفن وذكر الباعث له وتسمية الكتاب وبيان كيفيته من التبويب والتفصيل افتتح المصنف كتابه بها وقدمها على غيرها لقوة حديثها ولموافقة أسلوب القرآن.
لهذا فقد كان الكتاب في مضمونه جامعاً وشاملاً لأمور كثيرة من الفقه وأصول الدين مستمداً ذلك من كتاب الله عز وجل القرآن الكريم ومما روي عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مستشهداً بأحاديثه وأقواله وأفعاله كما رواه الثقات من الصحابة رضي الله عنهم متحدثاً عن كل باب منها وأحكامه كما نصت عليه الشريعة الإسلامية.
متن " نور الإيضاح " من المتون المعتمدة في المذهب الحنفي، وهو في غالبه ظاهر الرواية وضعه الشيخ حسن الشرنبلالي فلقي قبولا بين الفقهاء وقد شرحه في " مراقي الفلاح "، مفصلا الأحكام الفقهية موردا للأدلة القرآنية والحديثة . وهو مقتصر على العبادات دون غيرها . وقد وضع عليه حاشية قيمة الطحطاوي شيخ ابن عابدين فيها اللغة، والأصول، والفقه، والحديث.
