Book Description
هذا معجم للأطفال يقوم على أساس ربط المعنى بالصورة. فالطفل أسرع إلى فهم الدلالة إذا وجدها أمامه مصوّرة. وهو معجم يكسر الحاجز بين الطفل واللغة العربية من جهة والإنكليزية من جهة ثانية، وبين الطفل والمعارف من ناحية ثالثة. فالمدخل إلى المعرفة هو التشويق ولفت انتباه الطفل وإشارة خياله وتعويده الثقة بالنفس والاطمئنان إلى ما يتعلّم.
وراعينا أن تكون الرسوم كلها ملونة، بعضها كبير وبعضها صغير، رغبة في التنويع والتشويق. والمفردات كلها منتزعة من محيط الطفل بحيث لا يشعر أنه غريب عان عالمها. وهي مفردات ورسوم تربط الطفل بالطبيعة من حوله وتشعره بأنه جزء من هذا الكون. فهي تتناول الإنسان والحيوان والطير والنبات. كما تتعرض للموسيقى والرياضة والمخترعات. وتلتفت إلى الحرف والثياب والأدوات.
كذلك راعينا تقديم الأفعال من خلال الرسوم، فيذكر الفعل الماضي ثم الفعل المضارع بين قوسين. وحرصنا أيضاً على تعريف الطفل إلى المثنى وإلى المؤنث من خلال استخدام مداخل مناسبة. وفي حال وجود مرادف أساسي فقد أضيف المرادف في موضعه بين قوسين. وجعلنا لكل حرف من حروف الألفباء صفحتين رتبت المفردات فيهما ترتيباً ألفبائياً. كما أضفنا سبع صفحات في آخر المعجم خصصناها لمراجعة المفردات من خلال الرسوم.
ونأمل أن يكون هذا المعجم وسيلة تشجيع للأطفال ومصدر معرفة راسخة لهم.
