لعل جدار الفصل العنصري الذي يقيمه العدو الصهيوني هو أحدث تجليات ممارساته العنصرية بمواجهة الفلسطينيين. تلك الممارسات التي بدأت بعملية الإجلاء والطرد والتطهير والمجازر البشعة منذ عام 1948، والتي شكّلت المقدمات العملية لإقامة دولة اليهود العنصرية..
ومنذ ذلك التاريخ، بل قبل ذلك بكثير، كان الخطاب الصهيوني"دولة اليهود، الدم اليهودي" عنصرياً بامتياز، وجاء التجسيد المشخّص لذلك الخطاب على الأرض، بكل أشكال التمييز العنصري ليشمل عرب فلسطين الناجين من الطرد عام 1948 وفلسطينيي الضفة والقطاع..
وإذا كانت تلك الممارسات العنصرية بمواجهة الفلسطينيين بادية للعيان، إلا أن هناك شكل آخر من أشكال التمييز طال اليهود العرب الشرقيين، محاولاً تمزيق هويتهم، عبر خطاب مهيمن:"يهود-مقابل-عرب"!
وهكذا، فإن هاجس النقاء القومي أفضى إلى فصل الهوية وتمزيقها، وأفضى كما تقول مؤلفة الكتاب، التي تصر على توصيف نفسها بأنها يهودية عربية، "إلى انفصام وجودي لليهود العرب".
كتابها هذا لم يلق الترحيب في "إسرائيل" لا على المستوى السياسي ولا الاجتماعي، تناول هذا الجانب بموضوعية وجرأة، وامتد ليعرّي العنصرية الصهيونية، ليس بمواجهة الفلسطينيين فحسب، بل أيضاً بمواجهة اليهود العرب الذين يرزحون تحت انتماء مزوّر وذكريات ممنوعة.
