في المجموعة الشعرية " الضوء كلب أبيض " يتلبس الشعر مع " أحمد العجمي " أسلوباً طريقة تعبيرية تستغل أبعاد اللغة ومظاهرها الصوتية والتواصلية والبصرية ، في تظهير خطاب النص وأبعاده الدلالية ؛ وعوالمه المخصوصة بإشباع حركي ، متعالي على الأبعاد ، ومقترب من الندوات الإنسانية أكثر فأكثر . لذلك هو خطاب شعري إرتحالي يتسامى على الهموم الفردية ويخلق عالمه الخاص عبر شذرات وومضات وإشراقات جميلة ، يكون للمرأة فيها حضوراً لافتاً ، وللطبيعة أثراً ، وللوجود مكاناً ، وللموسيقى نغماً ، في القصيدة المعنونة " تقدم أكثر " يقول الشاعر العجمي : " يربطُ الضوءُ حذاءَه بإحكام ، / يربطه بخيوطٍ طليقةٍ ، / قبل أن يتكلم / يهاجرُ مع آلتهِ الموسيقية ، / فيا للجمال ، حيث لا أثر لخطواتهِ / سوى النجوم البعيدة ، / تكهنات لامرئية هذه التي قالها القمرُ / عن إسمهِ / ويده الرقيقة / وعيونه التي تركها تنظف النهر " . هكذا فيدفق الشعر بحركة لولبية ودفعات إيقاعه التفكرية ، وفضاءات الشكل واحتمالاته البصرية ، لينتج لنا في النهاية هذا المعنى الباذخ في مداليله وسياقاته وكوامنه الثاوية في عباراته الجميلة .
يضم الكتاب قصائداً في الشعر العربي الحديث جاءت باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية نذكر من العناوين : " نشيد الضوء بالضوء " ، " صوت من الداخل " ، " ويحدث أن أحلم " ، " حتى الآن " ، " إشباع " ، " من ينصت لها ؟ " ، " تقدم أكثر " ، " متعة زائدة " ( ... ) وقصائد أخرى .
