لذا عمد مؤلف هذا الكتاب إلى استخلاص بعضها من بطون الكتب ليستخرج منها أروعها وأجملها، وقد بذل جهداً طيباً على إتمام الفائدة لتسهيل مهمة القارئ وبنى كتابه على فصول أربعة: الفصل الأول: القصص الهادفة، الفصل الثاني: المواعظ الحسنة، الفصل الثالث: الحكم الزاهرة، الفصل الرابع: الأمثال السائدة وبذلك أصبح بإمكان القارئ أن يضع يديه على ما يحتاج إليه بيسر وسهولة.
