إن معظم الناس لا يعرفون ما هي الإستراتيجية أو كيف تعمل، وحتى قبل بضع سنوات كنت أدرس الإستراتيجية حصرياً لأصحاب كبرى الشركات العالمية. وقد كان تركيزي ينصب على إستخدام قوانين الإستراتيجية للنجاح في مجال التجارة والأعمال.
ثم أصبت بنوع قاتل من السرطان، ولما كنت أخضع للعلاج من هذا المرض رأيت أن العديد من زملائي المرضى كانوا يموتون لأنهم لا يعرفون كيفية إتخاذ أبسط القرارات الإستراتيجية، وأحد أولئك الذين ماتوا كان صديقاً حميماً، وكان أفضل من حصر عرسي.
فقي علاجي من السرطان كنت استخدم نفس أدوات صنع التي كنت أعلمها في محاضراتي عن الإستراتيجية، ولكن في سياق مختلف تماماً. فلما تعافيت من هذا المرض أدركت مدى عمق تشكيل كل جانب من جوانب حياتي من خلال فهمي للإستراتيجية، ودون أن أدري صرت استخدم هذه الأدلة لأحسن من نفسي سواء في زواجي أو أبوتي لأولادي أو في عضويتي في المجتمع، بل إن مبادئ الإستراتيجية قد عززت من إيماني بالله سبحانه وتعالى.
وبعد أن شفيت من مرضي هذا صار لي هدف جديد في حياتي، فلقد صرت أهدف الآن إلى أن أعلَم الناس كلهم أسرار الإستراتيجية التي يعود تاريخها إلى خمسة وعشرين فرناً. أريد أن أبسط تلك الأسرار لك –عزيزي القارئ- حتى يتسنى لك إستخدامها في كل يوم من حياتك.
