ما من شك في أنه ستكون لخطة الفصل التي يسعى رئيس وزراء العدو آرييل شارون لتنفيذها في الأشهر القادمة، بالانسحاب من قطاع غزة وبعض المستوطنات المعزولة في الضفة الغربية، آثار سياسية وأمنية واقتصادية واجتماعية كبيرة على الشعب الفلسطيني، حيث تتطرق الدراستان التاليتان (ضمن هذا الكتاب) إلى بعض الانعكاسات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لهذا الانسحاب إذا ما حصل!
الدراسة الأولى تتعرض للمارسات كما للأهداف "الإسرائيلية" من وراء العلاقة الاقتصادية المعقدة بين الفلسطينيين و"الإسرائيليين"، قبل وبعد عملية التسوية، إلى إطلالة على تأثير جدار الفصل العنصري الجاري بناؤه في الضفة الغربية؛ فيما تقدم الدراسة الثانية التي أعدها البنك الدولي بطلب من "إسرائيل" والمجتمع الدولي والسلطة الفلسطينية(!)، تصورات وتقديرات محددة لإتمام الفصل ولمعالجة تداعياته، وبالتأكيد بما يحفظ أمن كيان العدو ومصالحه بالدرجة الأولى، والحد الأدنى من مقومات الاستمرار للشعب الفلسطيني المفك الأوصال (الآن وبعد الفصل)، والمنهك والمستنزف بسبب تواصل الاعتداءات "الإسرائيلية" عليه، بشراً وحجراً واقتصاداً.
