داخل كل منا طفل يريد أن يلعب، عبارة رددها "نيتشيه". أن اللعب لهو وضحك ومرح، هكذا وصفه "باكوس". بداية اكتساب وتعلم واكتشاف وتطور، هكذا صنفه "بيتلهايم". مصنع الأفكار، ومختبر اكتشاف العوامل الخاصة وتشغيل الخيالات وترجمتها على أرض الواقع، هكذا شبهه "سيلفي بورسيه".
وإلى جانبهم نحن نقول أن اللعب حق من حقوق الطفل وعلينا الاعتراف بأهميتهم وإنجازاتهم، من منطلق كونه صفة فطرية تمتلكها الكائنات، كبرهان على الاستقرار النفسي والعاطفي، إذ أن غياب أحدهما يدفع إلى التراجع والفشل في اللعبة التي هي بداية الاكتشاف قبل أن تكون تسلية ولهو، فاللعب قبل أن يكون تسلية فهو حقل اختبارات واكتشافات يستلهم منها الطفل كل جديد على صعيد دعم الذاكرة، فباللعب يفرغ شحناته دون بلوغ غاية تأتي لاحقاً بالصدفة، فبه يعبر عن مشاعره، ويثبت نموه الجسدي والروحي والنفسي والعقلي السوي، وبه يحسن سلوكه ويوطد انخراطه الاجتماعي. إذاً فهو غذاء الروح والنفس والذهن، كما الطعام غذاء الجسد، وهذا ما اراده هذا الكتيب الذي وضع وفق أسس علمية تؤمن للطفل ميادين واسعة تخوله تحقيق غاياته من وراء اللعب، بأسلوب مبسط لا يكلف الكثير، يساعده على تطوير ذاته جسدياً وذهنياً ويحوله إلى مخترع ومبدع، إنه الدليل المبسط الذي يلزم لكل أن وطفل.
