يحتوي هذا الكتيب الذي بين أيدينا على شرح لأسباب الثورة التي قادها بطل الريف أو المناضل "محمد بن عبد الكريم الخطابي" ضد الاستعمار الفرنسي والاسباني والتي انتهت بسقوطه بين يدي أعدائه بعد أن خذلته دول العالم الإسلامي بعدم نجدته في محاربة دولتين قويتين اتحدتا على قتاله، إلى جانب ذلك يحتوي الكتاب على نبذة مختصرة جداً عن حياة هذا البطل المغربي وعلى مجموعة من الشهادات الحية لكبار المفكرين السياسيين والتي تأكد على اعتناق "الخطابي" للصوفية، وعلى تخلي بعض الصوفيين المنحرفين عن مساعدته في ثورته.
