هذه شعبة من شعب الإيمان تتحدث عن رحمة الصغير وتوقير الكبير, فالرحمة رحمتان: رحمة ذات تعلق حقي, ورحمة ذات تعلق خلقي, فالرحمة ذات التعلق الحقي رحمتان: رحمة من صفة الذات الإلهية وهي لا تتعدد, ورحمة من صفة الفعل. فالرحمة التي هي صفة الذات أشار إليها الحق تعالى في كتابه العزيز: (ورحمتي وسعت كل شيء). فرحمته وسعت كل شيء هي صفة من صفات ذاته لم يزل ولا يزال موصوفاً بها سبحانه وتعالى. لا تقبل الانقسام ولا التجزئة ولا التبعيض. ورحمته التي خلقها لعباده وجعلها في نفوسهم في الدنيا هي من صفة الفعل التي تقبل الانقسام والتجزئة والتبعيض وهي المعنية بقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إن الله خلق مائة رحمة يوم خلق السموات والأرض كل رحمة طباق ما بين السماء والأرض.
