وهكذا فإن هذا الكتاب يقدم للأطفال طريقة جديدة في التعليم تعتمد على التركيب والتحليل التي تنطلق من الكل إلى الجزء ثم من الجزء إلى الكل، أي استخراج الصوت من الكلمة، ثم جمع الأصوات لتكون كلمة مع مراعاة عناصر التشويق من حيث الأسئلة التمهيدية والقصة المبسطة الواضحة والحوار.ولتكملة الطريقة التعليمية أضيف للدرس مجموعة من الأناشيد والمحفوظات ذات الإيقاع السهل فبعضها اعتمد العامية وبعضها الفصحة المبسطة، بالإضافة إلى أناشيد الأحرف.
ومما يجدر الإشارة إليه هو ابتعاد المؤلف عن التدرج الكلاسيكي لعرض الحروف، بل بدأ الشرح بالأحرف الأساسية ذات المخارج السهلة (د-ب-ر-س) وهدفه تعريف الأطفال على الحركات الثلاث (الضمة والفتحة والكسرة) وعلى أحرف العلة (الواو، الألف، الياء) المتصلة بباق الحروف.
