قصة أميرة الموج (رودينا) ليست قصة عادية كقصص الأميرات النائمات الخاملات، بل هي قصة أميرة تحب الحياة والخير والعمل. فبعد أن خسرت والدتها مبكراً، اكتشفت أن في شعرها معجزة تميّزها عن غيرها من الفتيات، تركتها والدتها لها قبل وفاتها. وكان الملك كريشان والد رودينا قد رأى معجزة إبنته فرصة له للهرب من تحمّل مسؤولية العمل ومتابعة شؤون البلاد التي يحكمها. ولذلك فهو يدرك أن زواج رودينا يعني خسارة هذه الراحة. لذا نراه يلجأ إلى الثعبان سعفون الذي يقنعه بأن يضع شرطاً لمن يريد الزواج من رودينا بأن يعرف عدد شعرات رأسها. وهكذا، تتوالى الأحداث بتدخل الساحرة خندريس مرة لمساعدة الملك ومرة أخرى لمساعدة رودينا، ... وتختتم الحكاية بلقاء رودينا مع حكيم الزمان الذي يفسر لها الكثير من الأسرار التي تمكنها من الإنتصار على والدها الملك كريشان فتنقذ بذلك شعب بلاد العيطموس من الغرق في البلادة والكسل.
