شَكّلَ مَوْقِعُ مدينة صور، على البحر المتوسّط، عاملاً أساسيّاً في حركة التّاريخِ القديمِ والحديث، فَأَتاحَ لها القيامَ بِدْورٍ مفْصليٍّ في صناعةِ الأَحْداث، وتركتْ بَصَماتِها على مصائِر الشُّعوبِ عَبْرَ الزَّمن.
وكان لِنُبوغِ أَهْلِها وَنَشاطِهمْ طابَعٌ خاصٌّ وَأَثَرٌ كبيرٌ في مجالات الصِّناعةِ والتِّجارة، وفي أبواب العلوم والحقوق والأدب والفلسفة؛ ما جَعَلَها مَحَجَّةً للعاملين على التَّطوُّرِ من ناحيةٍ، ومن جهةٍ ثانية، هدفاً للطّامعين.
ولقد كُتِبَ الكثيرُ عن المدينة، وأُلِّفَتِ المجلّداتُ حولها - تأريخاً، وشعراً، وأدباً - وَحُرِّرتْ ترجماتٌ لرجالاتها المُجلّين في كافَّةِ الميادين؛ ما حَفَّزَ الكثيرين منْ اَقْصى الكرةِ الارضيَّةِ غلى أَدْناها على زيارتها للتَّعرُّفِ عليها عنْ كَثَبٍ، وعلى ما تَخْتَزِنُهُ من تجارب الماضين.
من هنا، وَجَدْتُني تحت ضغطِ الواجب المُلِحِّ أَنْ أكْتُبَ عنْ تحدث المؤلف أماكنها الّتي تَسْكُنُ الذّاكرة، وَتُشَكِّلُ حروفَ اللُّغّةِ اليوميَّةِ، لِتَنْغَرِزَ في الوجدان الشّعبيّ حاضراً لا تَطْمِسُهُ الأَيّام، وَلِتَبْقى في عيون الأجيالِ علامة مدينةٍ صَنَعتْ حضارةً، وَغَيَّرَتْ أنماطَ حياة.
هي محاولةُ قَدْ تكونُ حافزاً لِتناوُلِ المدينةِ بشكلٍ أعمق ومن خلال تفاصيلَ أَدَقّ.
