تحت عنوان "الأثر البياني للمد الجائز في سورة يوسف" تتناول الدكتورة سهاد جاسم عباس ما ورد في هذه الآية الكريمة – سورة يوسف – من مدود جائزة، وهي المدود التي تقع بين كلمتين – في محاولة لتحري الدلالات التي وردت هذه المدود في سياقها، وما لها من اثر في تلك الدلالات التي جاءت في سياق التعبير عنها.
في البدء لا بد أن نعلم أن الأصل في المدّ ما أثر عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من أنه كان يمدّ في قراءته للقرآن الكريم ... أي أن قراءته عليه الصلاة والسلام كانت "ذات مدّ ووقع".
من هنا جاء اهتمام المؤلفة لدراسة المدّ وحكمه، ومذاهب علماء التجريد فيه فجاءت الدراسة في ثلاثة فصول، يتناول أولها: المدّ المنفصل الوارد في الأسماء والأفعال في هذه السورة، ويتناول ثانيها المدّ الواقع في الحروف، وأما ثالثها، ـفقد عني بمواضيع، توالى المدّ في موضعين أو أكثر منها. وقد أوردت المؤلفة فيها المدّ الذي يتعلق بأحداث القصة، مما جاء فيها المدّ متوالياً في أكثر من موضع، والآخر يختص بما ورد في هذه السورة من آيات جاءت فيها معاني الدعوة إلى التوحيد، فضلاً عن معاني التثبيت للنبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وتبشيره بالنصر، ومنها ما جاء على لسان نبي الله يوسف عليه السلام، وهو يدعو السجينين إلى توحيد الله تعالى، ونبذ الشرك والأوثان. وأخيراً خاتمة وخلاصات ونتائج.
