هذه شعبة من شعب الإيمان تتحدث عن شح المرء المسلم بدينه, والثبات عليه, والعض عليه بالنواجذ. الإيمان فعل من الأفعال التي جعلها الله تعالى بمقدور عباده, ومكنهم منها, والإيمان شيء نفيس جداً لا يقادر قدره, فهو ثمن الجنة ودخولها, ذلك أن مفتاح الجنة لا إله إلا الله, ومن دخل الجنة فلن يخرج منها كما أخبر تعالى فقال: (وما هم منها بمخرجين), إن هذا يدل على عظم قدر الإيمان الذي مكن منه الإنسان في الدنيا, ومن أدرك ذلك شحّ به, وحافظ عليه وصانه, ولم يفرط فيه, وتحمل كل المشاق في سبيل الحفاظ عليه, وعلامته أن يفرط في جسمه ولا يفرط في دينه, ويتساهل في جميع الأمور ولا يتساهل في إيمانه, فهذه علامة المؤمنين الصادقين على توالي السنين.
