"يا فؤادي لا تخف ما تبتغيه، كلما تلقاه ربي يصطفيه، ودع الأنسام تجري بشراع من شذى أنفاس شوق يعتريه، رقص الموج على خفقاته، وجرى الزورق يختال بتيه، ومضى يلثم في وجناته، باح بالأسرار قبلات بفيه، إنه البحر رسول لهوانا، كاتم أسرارنا في خافقيه، حولنا الزرقة تغشى كل صوب، ما عدانا نهتدي بالطهر فيه، فانشر الأبيض رخصاً لا تبالي، بمصير سوف يهدينا إليه، يافؤادي لا تدع مسرى هوانا، دون أن نرويه ضوعاً من هوانا، فإذا المركب ألقانا بأرض، تخطف القبلات من تحت خطانا، ولنباركها بفيض من أريج، يغمر الآفاق منها والسنينا، عله يمسح رهق عمر قد قضته بالظما جدباً قروناً، فتعود لصباها من جديد ترتدي حلة عرس ياسمينا، تمرح الأطيار فيها وظباء، قد نلاقي بينها يوماً مناناً".
الشعر عندي نتاج وحي وإلهام غيبي يأتلق الفكر بأنواره السحرية المنبعثة من التفاعل والانفعال الحاصلين في بوتقة العقل والعاطفة والتجاوب الحسي والإدراكي بين الوعي واللاوعي فينساب عذباً سلسبيلاً نقياً خالياً من الكلفة والصنعة وشوائب المادة ومتسامياً إلى ذرى الروح وآفاق اللانهاية، بإيقاع موسيقي، وجرس جميل، سالكاً جميع البحور وكل الأجواء...
لذا: فإن الشعر الحقيقي الصادق يداعب القلب، ويخاطب العقل، ويناجي الروح في آن واحد. إن هو إلا "الشعر" يمتاز بهذه الخاصية، وذلكم التأثير...
