في مجموعته الشعرية "أكثر من عكازة للقلب الوحيد" يتناول الشاعر فهمي الصالح أبعاداً تؤطر الهمَّ العراقي، وتحمل في مضامينها أبعاداً إنسانية وإجتماعية وسياسية، وهذا ناجم عن الالم الذي نشب في قلبه، من جراء الحروب والكوارث والأزمات، لذلك جاءت غالبية القصائد بمحمولاتها اللغوية والإشارية مغلفة بمسار تراجيدي، وهذا متأتٍ عن البعد عن الوطن، والإحساس العميق بما يجري داخله للأهل والأحبة والأصدقاء.
تحت عنوان (الرمادي... وأنا أمام بواباتها آخر الرماديين) يقول الشاعر: "أمام بوابات الرمادي... وقفت مُنكسراً بكلٍّ دمائي أتساءلُ: "أين أنا وماذا كلَّ بوجهي وقصائدي؟!... ذات دمعٍ حائرٍ مُفعم بمراراتِ القصائد والدماءِ... وقفتُ أمام خاصرةِ الرمادي مُجهداً... يشهدُ الماءُ اليتيمُ حين اعترفتُ مُنكسراً بحزني: أحبُّها تلك البلاد التي خربها أهلها.. أضعاف ما خربها الغزاة!".
هذا الخطاب يتمظهر عبر وظيفة مرآتية تجسدت داخل قصائد المجموعة بصور شعرية دالة جاءت لتعبّر عن أزمة الحاضر العراقي وإنعكاس كل ذلك على نمط العلاقة بين ذات الشاعر الصالح والعالم الخرب الدائر من حوله.
يضم الكتاب (46) قصيدة في الشعر العربي الحديث جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: 1-مزامير، 2-جذاذات التعب، 3-إعترافات جانبية، 4-حب، 5-إستغراقات في منتصف القلب، 6-عتمة الحب اللامع... وقصائد أخرى.
الجدير بالذكر، أن قصائد هذه المجموعة كتبها الشاعر بين الأعوام (1987- 2016).
