معرفة الراجح والمعتمد المفتى به في المذهب مبحث مهم يبين المنهج الذي سار عليه علماء المذهب في الفتيا، وله أثره في انضباط الفتوى، والنأي بها عن الاضطراب. وقد تناولت هذه الدراسة بيان مفهوم العدول وتأصيله، وبينت مفهوم ظاهر الرواية في المذهب، ومفهوم كتب ظاهر الرواية وحققت المقصود منها وعرّفت بها وبطبقات المسائل، وطبقات الفقهاء، والكتب المعتمدة، ومظان رسم المفتي في كتب المذهب، بتتبع دقيق، ونصوص مهمة. كما بيّنت قواعد الترجيح في المذهب عند اختلاف الأقوال، وعند اختلاف التصحيح. وتناولت تأصيل معنى العدول، وأثر رسم المفتي فيه، وأسباب عدول علماء المذهب عن الفتيا بظاهر الرواية، إلى غيرها من الأقوال والروايات، وذلك بتأصيل كل سبب من هذه الأسباب، وإلحاقه بأهم التطبيقات العملية عليه. وهذا البحث في أصله أطروحة كتبها مؤلفها لنيل درجة الدكتوراه، وقد حازت درجة الامتياز.
