يهدف هذا الكتاب إلى التعرُف على تجليّات الخطاب النبوي للمرأة، مقارنة مع ما ظهرت عليه المرأة في الخطاب الإنساني السابق للبعثة، ومحاولة ترسيم الخطاب النبوي للمرأة في الأذهان، ذلك الخطاب الذي نجح في إنصاف المرأة، ونهض بها في مجالات الحياة كافة.
وبعد الإطّلاع في الجهود التي ألّفت في موضوع (المرأة) وجدتُ أنّها تناولت المسألة في أغلب مناحي الخطاب الإنساني، وفي أضرُب معرفيّة متنوّعة، وبقي الخطاب النبوي للمرأة - وهو أسمى أنواع الخطاب الإنساني - بحاجة إلى الدراسة؛ فكان التوجُه إلى هذا الموضوع، لا سيّما بعد الإطلاع على مصنّفات في اللسانيّات الإجتماعيّة، وممّا شدّ النظر إلى هذه الدراسة نهوض الحركات النِّسْويّة في العصر الحديث التي أخذت تدعو إلى بناء علاقات عادلة بين الجنَسَيْن.
إنّ هذا الفيض من العناية بموضوع المرأة، في أضرُب من العلوم والفنون كلٌ يأخذ منها بطرف في تناوله وتداوله، دفعت الباحث إلى إستقراء الأحاديث المتعلقة بالمرأة في الخطاب النبوي من خلال صحيح مُسْلِم بين الحَجّاج القُشَيْري (ت 261هـ)؛ إذ لم يحظَ الخطاب النبوي للمرأة من وجهةَ لسانيّة إجتماعيّة بدراسة مستقلة فيما انتهيتُ إليه من بحث وسؤال وإطِلاع.
كما حرصت الدراسة على إلتماس العلاقة بين اللغة والمجتمع؛ لذلك كانت اللسانيّات الإجتماعيّة وجهة النظر المُختارة في هذه الدراسة؛ فاللغة ظاهرة حياتية إجتماعية من أكثر الظواهر إلتصاقاً بحياة الأفراد، وهي تخضع لمقاييس المجتمع وأعرافه، وتقاليده وثقافته، بل هي الطريق لكشف عادات المجتمع، ومستوياته الثقافية والحضارية، فلا يمكن فهم اللغة، وقوانين تطوّرها، وتحديد الأسس أو المعايير الإجتماعية التي تحكم السلوك اللغوي لدى الناطقين بها بِمَعزِل عن حركة المجتمع في الزمان والمكان المعيّنيْن.
