لقد قام الإمام الحافظ زين الدين الزبيدي باختصار صحيح البخاري حيث قام بحذف الأسانيد وما تكرر من الأحاديث وسماه التجريد الصريح لأحاديث الجامع الصحيح فقام الشيخ عبد الله الشرقاوي بشرح هذا المختصر حيث حرر ألفاظه وضبطها وبين وجوه الإعراب وشرح الكلمات واستخرج الأحكام الواردة فيها وأورد آراء الفقهاء. فجاء شرحه هذا ميسراً ومتوسطاً بين التطويل والإيجاز، وأسماه فتح المبدي وقد وضعنا مختصر الزبيدي في أعلى الصفحات وفتح المبدي في أسفلها.
