محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن زين العابدين ابن علي بن زكريا بن محمد الغزي، العامري، القرشي، الدمشقي، الشافعي، (شمس الدين، أبو المعالي) فقيه، مؤرخ، نسابة، أديب، شاعر.
ولد بدمشق وأفتى، وتوفي بها، من آثاره: تشنيف المسامع بتراجم رجال جمع الجوامع، ديوان الإسلام في التاريخ وتراجم الرجال، ديوان شعر، لطائف المنة في فوائد خدمة السنة، وتذكرة أولي الألباب.
