مع التطور السريع الحادث في شؤون الحياة لا يجد البعض متسعاً من الوقت للبحث في أمور الدين والعقيدة التي يجب عليه تعلمها، والتي تغص بها المؤلفات والمصنفات الكثيرة التي يصعب على المرء عدها. وانطلاقاً من الرغبة في تيسير الأمر على الراغبين والطالبين ممن لا يسعفهم لا الجهد ولا الوقت، ارتأى المؤلف وضع هذه الموسوعة الميسرة الشاملة التي تحوي جميع الأمور المتعلقة بالشيعة، كما ارتأى كتابتها بصيغة السؤال والجواب كي تتلاءم مع طبيعة العصر الذي يقتضي السرعة والاختصار في كل شيء.
تحوي الموسوعة أكثر من أربعين عنواناً في عشرة آلاف سؤال تدور حول أصول الدين كالتوحيد والعدل، والنبوة، والأمة والمصادر، بينما يتضمن المجلد الثاني والثالث عدداً مماثلاً من الأسئلة التي تدور حول الفقه وتتعلق بالصلاة والصوم والحج والزكاة والخمس والجهاد والأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر. أما المجلد الرابع فهو يتضمن المصطلحات الفقهية والأسئلة المنطقية أسئلة في النحو والصرف وعن الحيوانات في القرآن، إضافة إلى مجموعة من القصص والطرائف ذات الصلة بالموضوع وينصب المجلد الخامس على قصص الأنبياء وأهل البيت والصحابة والصحابيات وأصحاب الأئمة وقصصهم. أما المجلد السادس فهو يتعلق بأحكام النساء ويحتوي أسئلة عامة حول هذا الموضوع. ويتضمن المجلد السابع والأخير أسئلة حول الفرق، والمراقد المقدسة في العالم والمساجد في العالم، وكذلك حول المدن المقدسة والمدارس الدينية والمكتبات في العالم والكتب الشيعية والشعراء.
