لقد أنعم الله تعالى علينا بالقرآن الكريم ذلك الكتاب العظيم والكنز الذي لا يفنى، والمعجزة الباقية الذي انشغل عنه المسلمون اليوم، وأقبلوا على الدنيا والمال والمتاع والزينة، وهجروا هذا الكتاب الذي هو كلام الله عزّ وجلّ والنور المضيء والسراج المنير والطريق المستقيم.
قال تعالى: ﴿وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَذَا الْقُرْآَنَ مَهْجُوراً ﴾... [سورة الفرقان: آية 30] لا صلاح ولا عزّ لهذه الأمة إلا بالعودة إلى هذا الكتاب الحكيم قال تعالى: ﴿ يس (1) وَالْقُرْآَنِ الْحَكِيمِ (2) ﴾... [سورة يس: 1-2].
وبعد... فلقد وفقني الله عزّ وجلّ لتقديم هذا الكتاب في علم التجويد، لقد وجدت جهل كثير من الناس به، مما دفعني إلى تأليف كتاب مبسط يسهل على عامة الناس والطلبة قراءته والإقبال عليه، ولقد رأيت كثيراً من الناس ومن بينهم بعض المدرسين الذين يعلمون الناس يخطئون في قراءة القرآن الكريم.
كما أنني رأيت حاجة طلبتنا الأعزاء إلى كتاب منهجي في تعليم أحكام تلاوة القرآن الكريم وآدابها، يكون ميسراً وواضحاً، ومختصراً، يعرفهم بأصول هذا العلم الكريم وما يؤدي إليه من إستقامة اللسان والمنطق وفصاحة اللفظ والبيان والتأهل لشرف تلاوة القرآن الكريم بإتقان، وترتيله على الوجه الصحيح المطلوب.
ومن هذا المنطلق تم إعداد هذا الكتاب الذي يخدم الجانب النظري التعليمي ويغطي فكرة عامة وأساسية عن هذا العلم.
