لا بد أن تزايد الإقبال على التعامل مع المصارف الإسلامية وزيادة الاهتمام بالأدوات التمويلية الإسلامية قد أدى إلى تسارع ملحوظ في نمو وتطور العمليات المصرفية الإسلامية وزيادة الاهتمام بالبحث والتطوير في مجال أعمال هذه البنوك. وقد أصبحت المصارف الإسلامية من المؤسسات التي تستقبل عددا لا باس به من خريجي الجامعات، خاصة خريجي كليات الاقتصاد مما يعني ضرورة خدمة هذا القطاع وتناسب مهارات خريجي هذه الكليات مع متطلبات العمل في المصارف الإسلامية.
هذا كله أدى إلى زيادة اهتمام الجامعات في تدريس مادة البنوك الإسلامية لطلابها كي تتناسب مخرجاتها مع متطلبات سوق العمل. كذلك فان المبتدئين في المصارف الإسلامية أو حتى عملاء هذه المصارف يحتاجون أحيانا إلى تعلم طريقة العمل وإجراءاته. إلا أنك لا تجد في الكتب الصادرة المتعلقة بالمصارف الإسلامية سوى ذكر أعمالها والأمور الشرعية المتعلقة بها وبأسلوب لا يتناسب- في غالب الأحيان - مع حاجات الفئات التي ذكرناها أو مع حاجات مدرسي مادة البنوك الإسلامية في كليات الاقتصاد بسبب عدم احتواء هذه الكتب على الأمثلة والتمارين العملية المتعلقة بتنفيذ العمليات المصرفية الإسلامية أو بسبب تحدثها بلغة فقهية بحتة مما يصعب الأمر على أساتذة وطلبة كليات الاقتصاد.
لذا جاء هذا الكتاب بأسلوب علمي مبسط ومدعم بالأمثلة والتمارين العملية بحيث يلبي حاجات طلبة وأساتذة كليات الاقتصاد في هذا المجال، إضافة إلى تلبية حاجات الموظفين الجدد في المصارف الإسلامية أو المتدربين في هذا المجال. كما يمكن أن يستفيد منه الشخص العادي الذي يتعامل مع البنوك الإسلامية أو الذي يريد أن يقف على الفرق بين هذه المصارف وقرينتها التقليدية.
