هذا الكتاب هو أحد كتب المعتزلة، وهو من الآثار القليلة التي سلمت من ألإحراق والتدمير، مؤلفه هو أبو الحسين عبد الرحيم بن محمد بن عثمان الخياط من أعيان المعتزلة صنفه للرد على الراوندي صاحب كتاب (فضيحة المعتزلة) فأجاب عن كل فصل منه مدمجاً نصه أو ما يفيد معناه في كلامه. ومؤلف كتاب الفضيحة هو أبو الحسين أحمد بن يحيى بن إسحاق الروندي. وأصل كتاب الانتصار نسخة محفوظة في دار الكتب المصرية، فيها الكثير من إسقاط النقط عن الحروف المنقوطة وغلطات في النحو والإعراب. فعمد المحقق إلى تصحيح الكل، إلا بعض المواضع التي قد يكون فيها إشارة إلى عرف كان معروفاً في ذلك الزمان. وأكمل الكلام الناقص من عنده باعتبار المعنى ووضع التكملات بين حاصرتين.
