وفنون الديكور هي مجموعة من القيم الجمالية والفنية والعملية التي تحقق إخراجاً جديداً للشكل حسب الحاجة فهي تشتمل على إعداد المكان من حيث لون جدرانه ومفروشاته وترتيبها وتنسيقها بداخله، وتوزيع إضاءاته، وإيجاد جوّ من الانسجام يتفق مع طبيعة المكان ومحتوياته وفق الأسس الفنية والجمالية والمطلوبة.
وهذا المؤلف يقدم عدداً من المواضيع الخاصة بتصميم وتنفيذ الديكور وذلك في جزءين، حيث يبحث الجزء الأول: الأصول التصميمية والهندسية والأمور الجمالية المختلفة في هندسة الديكور كتصميم الأثاث، الأبواب الداخلية والخارجية، التكوين الزخرفي، الصور واللوحات الفنية وأهميتها في التصميم.
أما الجزء الثاني والأخير فيبحث في الأصول التنفيذية والأسس التطبيقية المختلفة في أعمال التنفيذ كعزل الجدران والأبنية والجدران وتلبيسها. وقد أفرد الكاتب فصل خاص عالج فيه الكلمة وحساب الكميات والمواد الممكن استخدامها في التصميم بهدف مدّ يد العون والمساعدة إلى كل طالب علم، أو معرفة، أو ثقافة في حقل الديكور وفنونه المختلفة في التصميم والتنفيذ.
