إن التوصل إلى استخراج ما ورد من آيات قرآنية وأحاديث نبوية شريفة، تتعلق بالمال والاقتصاد والتعامل المالي والخلقي، من المعجم المفهرس لألفاظ القرآن الكريم، والمعجم المفهرس لألفاظ الحديث النبوي أمر فيه بعض الصعوبة، وقد يشق على بعض الباحثين أو الراغبين في التعرف على موضوع محدد ورد النص عليه في القرآن والسنة. لأن هذين المعجمين، على ما فيهما من جهد كبير ودقة في العرض، يتضمنان الكلمات ومشتقاتها، والدلالة على مكان هذه الكلمات في السورة أو الحديث. وليس فيهما ترتيب لموضوعات محددة. وقد كان استخراج أي موضوع متكامل فيها يحتاج إلى جهد ووقت حتى يصل الباحث إلى مطلوبه. فكان لا بد، والحالة هذه، من العمل على استخراج الآيات القرآنية والأحاديث النبوية المتصلة بالمال والاقتصاد والتعامل، على نوعية: المالي والخلق، وتقديمها في كتاب واحد يجمع بينهما لارتباط موضوعاتها بعضها ببعض تيسيراً على الباحث أو طالب العلم التوصل إلى معرفة ما يريد بسهولة ويسر. وهذا ما سعى إلى تحقيقه الدكتور "محمود محمد بابللي" في كتابه هذا الذي بين أيدينا والذي جمع فيه الباحث مختلف الآيات القرآنية الكريمة والأحاديث النبوية الشريفة المتعلقة بموضوعات المال (الزكاة والصدقات والإنفاق) والتعامل المالي بنوعيه المذكورين، وما يتصل بذلك من موضوعات لها نتائجها وآثارها المادية في العلاقات بين الناس.
