لقد شذ كثير من الناس في هذا الزمان وأخذوا يتلون القرآن الكريم من غير علم به وبالأحكام وتجرأوا على تفسير الآيات وهم لا يميزون بين المحكمات والمتشابهات، فاغتروا وظنوا أنهم وصلوا إلى ما قد وصل إليه العلماء فهؤلاء التحذير منهم واجب إن كان باللسان أو بالبيان، فقد أخرج الحاكم عن أنس رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "جاهدوا المشركين بأموالكم وأنفسكم وألسنتكم".
وكثير من هؤلاء المدّعين يرون التلقي مشافهة من الجهابذة النبهاء عادة القدماء وأن هذا العصر يغني عن الإستماع والإملاء، وإنتشار الكتب يوجز الوقت ويريح العلماء، وأقول من رأى طفلاً استغنى عن معلم وقرأ كتاباً، ومن تخصص بفن وصار بؤبؤاً وكان شيخه الكتاب، وأنصِت أيها النبيه إلى قول الشيخ عبد الغني النابلسي: "لا تحسبن أن بالكتب مثلنا ستصير فللدجاجة ريش لكنها لا تطير".
وقال الشاعر: وما كل من هز الحسام بضارب... ولا كل من أجرى اليراع بكاتب.
وروي أن عاصم بن أبي النّجود الكوفي من القراء مرّ على رجل فسمعه يقرأ: قُرَيْق في الحبة وَقُريق في الشعير، أراد أن يقرأ قوله تعالى: ﴿فَرِيقٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيقٌ فِي السَّعِيرِ(7)﴾... [سورة الشورى].
فأنكر عليه فقال الرجل أسكت هذه قراءة عاصم.
