في هذه الصفحات مناقشة لقضية الواد، مستعيناً بالله ثم بالأدلة التي أشعر أنها تستحق النظر والمراجعة.
ولا أزعم أن الحقيقة بجانب ما وصلت غليه وإنما اجتهدت في جمع كل الأدلة والبراهين على ما ذهبت إليه وناقشت النصوص التي تناولت الواد، مبيناً الرأي الذي رأيت ومقدراً كل اجتهاد سبقني إليه من تناول هذه القضية وقال رأيه فيها.
ولا أزعم أن ما توصلت إليه هو الصواب وما توصل إليه غيري ممن سبقني هو الخطأ، ولكنني أقدم قراءة جديدة لقضية تستحق النظر والاجتهاد.
وأترك الحكم في كل ذلك لمن يتأمل في أدلة كل طرف ومصادر كل رأي، وقد حاولت أن تكون كل الآراء التي قيلت في مسألة الواد حاضرة في صفحات هذا الكتاب، ليطلع القارئ على أطراف القضية، وينظر ويمعن النظر في كل الأقوال ودلالاتها وأسانيدها ويكون الأمر كله بين يديه وما أريد إلا الإصلاح.
