"أين الإنجيل؟" العنوان الذي اختاره السيد جعفر مرتضى العاملي لكتابه هذا وفيه يرد على ثلاثة أسئلة ترتبط بالعهد الجديد والقرآن الكريم وهي أسئلة على ما يذكر المؤلف... كان أحد الأخوة الأكارم قد جاء بها إليَّ، وذكر أن أحد ألمع الشخصيات الكنسية في لبنان... قد أملى هذه الأسئلة عليه ليوصلها إلي، وأجيبه عنها...".
وبناءً عليه، يجيب مؤلف الكتاب على ثلاثة أسئلة تتعلق بالديانة المسيحية من خلال عقد مقرنة بما ورد في القرآن الكريم والعهد الجديد (الإنجيل) وبعض الكتب والدراسات في هذا الباب، والأسئلة كما وردت في الكتاب هي: السؤال الأول: لماذا جاء محمد؟! حتى يغير اسم يسوع المسيح.
الثابت تاريخياً انه اسم المسيح، وأن كلمة يسوع في اللغة الآرامية والعبرية تعني المخلص، فمن أين جاء الحق للتصرف بإسم يسوع المسيح، وإلى عيسى المسيح، أما السؤال الثاني فهو: إن كتاب الإنجيل هو سابق للقرآن، وهو ككتاب أقدم تاريخاً من القرآن، فلماذا جاء القرآن ليقول: إن الإنجيل الذي بين يدي المسيحيين هو محرف... وهذا ما يمس بعقيدة المسيحيين؟.
والسؤال الثالث والأخير هو: جاء المسيح مكملاً للتوراة، فقد قال المسيح: إنه أتى مكملاً لما بين يدي اليهود من التوراة، حتى لا يغير... فلماذا يقول القرآن: إن الإنجيل محرَّف... فإن كان مكملاً ومتمماً، فلماذا ينقض التوراة والإنجيل؟!...
