نحنُ ننظرُ الآنَ إلى الولايات المتّحدةِ الأمريكيّةِ كإحْدى الدولتينِ العظميينِ في العالمِ، على إعتبارِ أنَّ الإتحادَ السوفييتيَّ هو الدولةُ العظمى الأُخرى.
ولا يجوزُ أنْ نغفلُ الصينَ التي هي ممن الدولِ العظمى.
إنَّ الصينَ التي يبلغُ تعدادُ سِكّانِها حوالي ثمانمائة مليون نسمةٍ، تمكّنَتْ - رغمَ هذا العددِ الهائلِ من السكّانِ - منْ أَنْ تخطوَ الخطواتِ الجبارةَ من مجالاتٍ كثيرةٍ.
لقدْ حقّقتِ الصينُ ذلكَ في فترةٍ زمنيّةٍ قصيرةٍ نسبياً، ممّا حدا ببعضِ الكتابِ والباحثينَ إلى إعتبارِ نهضةِ الصينِ منْ عجائبِ التاريخِ.
إنّ الشعوبَ كالأفرادِ منْ هذهِ الناحيةِ، فالإنسانُ الكريمُ يكونُ أكثرَ قابليّةً للتقدّمِ والإرتقاءِ منَ الإنسانِ الهمجيِّ الَّذي ينتمي إلى مجتمعٍ متخلّفٍ في الحضارةِ.
