يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن مدينة صغيرة هادئة تنام في أحضان التلال وعلى سفوح الوديان المختلفة وتغفو بين أشجار الزيتون تحفها غابة كبيرة من الزيتون. أهلها يأنفون الضيم يثورون على الظالم مهما كان ومن كان. عركوا الطبيعة وعركتهم الطبيعة وكانوا مع الحرية على ميعاد وما من ثورة الا كانوا فيها من المجلين وما من ردع للظلم الا كانوا السباقين وما من غزوة في سبيل الله الا كانوا من جندها الميامين. وأراد المؤلف في هذا الكتاب أن تكون دراستة شاملة لكل مناحي الحياة فيها من ثقافة وتاريخ وعادات وتقاليد, وقام المؤلف بجهد كبير في ترحاله وتطوافه من أجل جمع هذه المعلومات وليس هذا بلأمر اليسير ولا السهل فالمعلومات قابعة في بطون كتب المستشرقين وفي الأديرة وعند الآباء الذين لم يكن الوصول اليهم سهلاً, أما البحث في كفر تخاريم بعد الاسلام فهو ليس بالأمر السهل لأن البلدة ليست بالمدينة المشهورة في كتب التاريخ ولهذا كان التنقيب عنها ليس بالأمر السهل. ويبحث الكتاب في: جغرافية كفرتخاريم وتسميتها وتاريخها والمدينة ومعالمها وعاداتها وتقاليدها والحياة الثقافية فيها.
