Book Description
الشاعر صاحب الديوان هو إسماعيل بن محمد بن يزيد بن ربيعة بن مفرّع الحميري. لقبه السيّد وكنيته أبو هاشم. وجدّه يزيد بن ربيعة الشاعر المشهور. كان السيّد جميل الخطاب حسن الألفاظ، إذا تحدث في مجلس قوم أعطى كل رجل في المجلس نصيبه من الحديث. قال الأصمعي في شأنه: "ما أطبعه وأسلكه لسبيل الشعراء، والله لولا ما في شعره من سب السلف لما تقدّمه من طبقته أحدّ. ولهذا السبب هُجِر شعره، وإن كان شبيهاً بشعر بشار وأبي العتاهية في سلاسة الأسلوب وسهولة المأخذ وحسن الذوق".
كان من غلاة الشيعة وجاءت معظم قصائده في مدح بني هاشم بصورة عامة، وعلي بن أبي طالب بصورة خاصة. وقد تنوعت أغراض قصائده إلا أنها في معظمها، وكما ذكرنا، جاءت في مديح بني هاشم، وهجاء معارضيهم من السلف. وجاءت قصائده في طيات هذا الكتاب مرتبة ترتيباً أبجدياً باعتبار القافية.
