"بسولف للسما عنك" شعر فيه أشجان وفراق، فيه آهات وحسرات تبوح بها "الدانة العتيبي" بالنيابة عن بنات جنسها، للتعبير عمن ضجت نفوسهن بالحزن وألم الفراق، هكذا حملت الشاعرة بقلمها نفوساً تائهةً وشحنتها بمشاعر دامعة، فبتت ألحاناً رقيقة بدوية الطالع لغة ومضموناً وعلى نغمات الروح لتقول الشعر حكاية حب وجنون وهجر وعتاب.
عبر "رسايلهم؟ رسايل / هَم" تقول الشاعرة العتيبي" :
قبل كانت رسايلهم / حب وطيش / وكنا للفجر نسهرْ نحاكيهم / وكنت آقول : تبقى لي؟ / يقول: لآخر المشوار / ويوعدني وعدَ كذاب / وأنا والله من فرقاه / صدري ممتلي / حزن وتعب وعتاب / هذيك أول رسايلهم. / جنون وحب، ضحك وطيش / رسايلهم؟ / مواني من عتب وغياب / وهي بآخر سنة صارت / رسايل / هم". بهذه العبارات تعلن الشاعرة عن حالة قائمة تسكن الذات / الأنثى وكل خلجة من خلجاتها وهي كبرياء الأنثى في عشقها للآخر ، يؤشر على ذلك حزمة من العلائق اللغوية التي تكشف عنها القصائد تباعاً للتعبير عن طبقة تخينة من الألم" وقد تمظهرت في كل حرف من حروفها، وخاصة عند الرحيل والفراق، والذي لم يتبقَ منه سوى ذكريات.
يضم الكتاب قصائد نثرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "إليها تحديداً!" ، "مفتتح أولي" ، "وش أحكي لك!" ، "شوف حزني" ، "خانني راعي الوفا!" ، "يا خوانة" ، "لو يحبّك" (...) وعناوين أخرى.
