منذ صفحة العنوان الأولى «من أمٍّ لا تحب الأرجوحة» تبدو العلاقة بين الأم وابنتها وربما الكاتبة وابنتها هي العمود الفقري لنصوص المجموعة، وفي ضوء هذه العلاقة تُفرغ الأم ما في صدرها لإبنتها عبر رسائل تبعث بها هي أشبه ما تكون بالنداء الداخلي العميق من أمٍّ لإبنتها تعكس ثقافة كاتبة وشيئاً من سيرتها الذاتية، ولعل قراءة اللافتة النصية الأولى للكتاب والتي تمظهرت بصيغة (تقديم) هي أكثر تعبيراً عما تود قوله "شيماء":
"لست متأكدة من إنني اتخذت القرار الصائب حين قررت أن أبدأ كتابة هذه الرسائل إليكِ.. لكن ما أنا متأكدة منه أنني أقوم بما أحب القيام به..، وسأحاول قدر ما يمكنني أن أتجنب كل شعور قد يؤدي إلى توقفي عن الكتابة.. فأنا أعلم سلفاً أن هذه الرسائل قد يصاحبها الكثير من الذكريات التي لا أحب تذكرها..!
وها أنا يا صغيرتي أبحث عن نقطة ارتكاز، نقطة أبدأ منها الكتابة إليكِ.. / هل أبدأ من الماضي الذي نهش روحي؟ / أم من الألم الذي يعتصرني كـ فلقة ليمون؟ / أم من الشر الذي ينتشر حولي كـ وباء؟ / لا أعرف.. / فكل ما أعرفه الآن، أنني عانيت طيلة عشر سنوات حتى أسترد حياتي..! / عشر سنوات يا صغيرتي.. كي أفهم كيف تسير الحياة على هذه الأرض..!".
وهكذا، تتوزع رسائل/ نصوص الكاتبة في النص على (34) مقطعاً سردياً، انسلت عبر لغةٍ جميلة تلامس المستوى الشعري، وتقترب من الشفاهية في القول؛ كنوع من الوصال بينها وبين المتلقي وبهذا الفعل تكون "شيماء" قد امتلكت سردها الخاص ولغتها الخاصة التي تفتح شهية القارئ للتعاون والتفاعل مع منتج النص ومعناه الإنساني بكل ما يحمله من آلام وآمال.
