هذا هو العمل الأول الذي ضمن سلسلة مجاميع الأجزاء الحديثية، وهو يتضمن تحقيق مصنفات وأمالي أبي جعفر محمد بن عمرو بن البختري الرزاز. وبدأ الكتاب بترجمة أبي جعفر بن البختري، ثم تراجم مختصرة لشيوخه في هذا الكتاب ومواضع رواياتهم فيه، ثم تكلم عن مصنفات ابن البختري والأصول الخطية التي اعتمدتها، وتراجم رجال أسانيدها، وختم الكتاب بالفهارس العلمية: فهرس الآيات القرآنية، والأحاديث والآثار، والأشعار، والأعلام، والموضوعات.
وبالعودة لمتن هذا الجزء نجده يتضمن أربعة مجالس، اثنين منها عن أبي جعفر بن البختري وهما الأول والثالث، يتخللهما مجلس عن أبي بكر النجاد، والمجلس الرابع والأخير عن الخلدي. وقد أفرد مجلسي أبي جعفر بن البختري هنا ووضع لأحاديثهما أرقاماً متسلسلة.
أما عن مجلسي أبي بكر النجاد وجعفر الخلدي، فإن لابن مخلد –راوي هذا الجوء- جزءاً آخر باسم: (من حديث أبي الحسن محمد بن محمد بن مخلد عن شيوخه: أبي محمد الخلدي، وأبي بكر النجاد، وأبي بكر الشافعي، وأبي عمرو الدقاق)، وهو يضم ستة مجالس، منها هذان المجلسان. واعتمدت في تحقيق هذا الجزء على الأصل المحفوظ في المكتبة الظاهرية ضمن مجموع (90).
