إن الأكثرية من قراء كتاب الله يلتزمون التزاماً مطلقاً بما جرى عليه العرف من تقسيمه الى أجزاء فأحزاب و أرباع وفق ما جاء في المصحف الشريف, فالقارئ يبدأ القراءة أحياناً بأول الحزب أو أول الربع و أكثر هذه الإبتداءات صحيح لا لبس فيه إذ يأتي القول الجليل غير متصل بما سبقه, فتتم المعاني القرآنية على وجهها الحميد, كما أن القارئ ينتهي عند آخر الربع أو الجزء فيكون انتهاؤه في أحيان كثيرة حيث تكتمل المعاني, و لو اطرد الأمر على هذا المنهج القويم ما تكلفت كتابة هذا المقال, و لكن الواقع الملوس يقدم لنا أمثلة لا يصلح الوقوف عندها, إذ تبقى المعاني المتصلة مطردة السياق, فيظل السامع متعطشاً إلى تال يكمل الموضوع, ويتم المراد.
فقد طالعت في مجلة منار الإسلام التي تصدر في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة في العدد الثالث من السنة السادسة عشرة مقالاً بعنوان (رأي جديد جريء حول المصحف الشريف للدكتور محمد رجب البيومي) يقول فيه: "إن الأكثرية من قراء كتاب الله يلتزمون التزاماً مطلقاً بما جرى عليه العرف من تقسيمه إلى أجزاء فأحزاب وأرباع وفق ما جاء في المصحف الشريف، فالقارئ يبدأ القراءة أحياناً بأول الجزء كما يبدؤها أحياناً بأول الحزب أو أول الربع وأكثر هذه الابتداءات صحيح لا لبس فيه إذ يأتي القول الجليل غير متصل بما سبقه، فتتم المعاني القرآنية على وجهها الحميد، كما أن القارئ ينتهي عند آخر الربع أو الجزء فيكون انتهاؤه في أحيان كثيرة حيث تكتمل المعاني، ولو اطرد الأمر على هذا النهج القويم ما تكلفت كتابة هذا المقال، ولكن الواقع الملموس يقدم لنا أمثلة لا يصلح الابتداء بها صلاحية توضح المرمى لمن لا يحفظ كتاب الله، كما يقدم لنا أمثلة لا يصلح الوقوف عندها، إذ تبقى المعاني المتصلة مطردة السياق، فيظل السامع متعطشاً إلى تال يكمل الموضوع، ويتم المراد".
وقد نظمت في هذه الرسالة جدولاً يوضح المواضع القديمة للأجزاء والأحزاب والأرباع ثم الجديدة، وبينت سبب التغيير علّ المسلمين يتنبهوا لذلك، ويسعوا لطباعة مصحف بالتقسيمات المناسبة، ولا يبقى رأي الدكتور البيومي صيحة في واد، والحكمة ضالة المؤمن. قد قمت بهذه المهمة تسهيلاً لمن يقوم بعد بكتابة المصحف وطباعته على النحو الجديد.
