ولم يغفل الكاتب دور الشعراء في بحثه هذا القيم، فهو يدرج لهم أشعارهم، ويناقشها، ويستنبط منها أجمل الحكم، وأبلغ المواعظ، بحيث تعيش القارئ مع هذا الكتاب وهو يستعرض أجمل الحكم وأبلغ المواعظ وأجدى النصائح، التي لو تقيد بها لوجد نفسه يصور في سلم الرقي، والرفعة، والعزة، التي نشرها الكاتب من خلال عباراته الجذلة، وأسلوبه المشوق، الذي يشد القارئ، ولا يستطيع ترك هذا السفر النفيس، حتى ينهيه قراءة وتفهماً، في الوقت الذي يشعر فيه أنه بحاجة إلى إعادة قراءته مرات ومرات.
