عبد الغني بن إسماعيل بن عبد الغني النابلسي الدمشقي الحنفي (1050 هـ - 1143 هـ / 1641 - 1731م) شاعر شامي وعالم بالدين والأدب ورحالة مكثر من التصنيف. ولد ونشأ وتصوف في دمشق. قضى سبع سنوات من عمره في دراسة كتابات "التجارب الروحيّة" لِفُقهاء الصوفية. وقد تعدّدت رحلاته عبر العالم الإسلامي، إلى إسطنبول ولبنان والقدس وفلسطين ومصر والجزيرة العربية وطرابلس وباقي البلاد السورية. استقر في مدينته دمشق وتوفي فيها.

الشيخ عبد الغني النابلسي عالم فقيه ولكن قلبه ينبض بحب الله ورسوله وصحابته الكرام، أبرز مكنونات قلبه ودرر لسانه فكانت هذه القصائد غاية في الروعة وآية في الجمال في مدح الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وأصحابه البررة ورضوان الله عليهم.
نظم على كلّ حرف من حروف الأبجدية قصيدة تصف خير البرية: صفاته، خُلُقه، رحمته...فكان هذا الكتاب.
