هذا كتاب من سلسلة "عالم الأطفال في صور" المصممة لاستخدام الطفل في مرحلة تعلمه الكلام وإطلاق الأسماء على الأشياء التي يراها من حوله.
اختيرت للكتب صور واضحة مشرقة الألوان لأشياء مألوفة لدى الطفل و هي تعرض مواقف تعليمية واقعية لفائدته وتنشئته. وقد اكتفينا في هذه المرحلة بذكر عنوان أو مسمى للصورة كي يتعرفه الطفل أو يحزره، ومواد الصور منتقاة بحيث يسهل على الطفل تعرفها-كما يمكن للأم (أو الحادقة) التحدث عن مواضيعها له لتقريبها إلى عالمه وبيئته.
