تثير الشاعرية في ديوان "أبي ضاهر" أجنحتنا، فحلّقت وراء العصافير تقرأ مدار الفضاء، وغاصت تحت البحار تتهجئ بنات الحور، فالقصيدة بالنسبة إلى "جوزف أبي ضاهر" هي التعبير عن الأحاسيس والمشاعر والصور التي تتكرس أمام ناظريه، أو في مخيلته، ويقول: "ومن حقي أن أحتفظ بها رغبة في فيء العقل والقلب، أو ألبسها ثياب الشمس وأرسلها إلى العيد بهيّة مثل فجر، أو ندية مثل وردة، أو حية مثل إمرأة طالعة من مرج الأزرق إلى شاطئ يستقبل ويودّع.
ونقرأ قصيدة بعنوان: "أحاسيس"... "للجداول أحاسيسُ النساء... تَكبرُ المسافةُ... تتقلَّصُ... تنعدِمُ... وتظلُّ الرغبةُ... أوسعَ من محيط....
