قررت القبول ببقاء وضعي على ما كان عليه دوماً: مجرد زواج، وإن كان محروماً، من كل ما عشش فيه من أحلام.
ولكن مهلاً، فها أنذا أقف بين أولادي الكثر الذين لا أعلم حتى أعمارهم ولا فصولهم الدراسة، إنني أقوم بالتمثيل لأدوار في حياة مملة لا طعم لها ولا لون، فارغة من كل معنى، وبخاصة لجهة عزيزة على قلبي ونفسي، جهة يفترض فيها الحميمية، والقبول والرضا على أقل تقدير.
لكن هذا ما كان ولا يزال ضرباً من الحلم، إنني أمارس حياتي بشكل آلي، فمرة أكون زوجاً متعطشاً لكلمة حب صافية من فم أظنه لم يألف في حياته كلها سوى الزعيق، وتارة أكون أباً أحاول أن أعطي لأبناء كثيرين أشياءً وأموراً لا أملكها أبداً، وفاقد الشيء لا يعطيه.
لكنني لن أكذبكم قولاً... فأنا لا أتورع عن إمتاع عيني الحزينتين بما يصادف الحال من صور الجمال، غير أن صوتاً يهجم على في كل لحظة من لحظات الجمال المسروق تلك: احذر، ممنوع اللمس.
هكذا أصبحت حياتي، لكن لمن يريد جواباً شافياً لحيرته أهمس: القط يحب خناقه.
