هذا الكتاب الذي بين يديك الأن كان في الأصل "بحثاً أكاديمياً" تم إعداده من قبل الكاتبة عندما لاحظت من خلال اشرافها على التربية العلمية بالمعاهد الأزهرية تدني مستوى الطلاب في مهارات الفهم القرائي فهم لا يستطيعون التوصل إلى الأفكار الرئيسية أو الجزئية ولا المعاني المتضمنة وغير ذلك من مهارات الفهم القرائي مما دفع بالباحثة ألى حضور المزيد من الحصص التعليمية ومن خلالها لاحظت ما هو أشد من ذلك، فالقائمين على العملية التربوية والتعليمية من معلمين وغيرهم ليست لهم دراية كافية بمهارات الفهم القرائي وغيرها من المهارات التربوية المعرفية وأثرها الفعال في تنمية العملية التعليمية.
ولأهمية هذا الأمر وانشغال الكاتبة به طوال فترة إشرافها قررت أن تعمل على تطوير البحث وتكثيفه وتوسيع دائرته لإكمال جوانب النقص فيه ولكي تعم الفائدة عرضته على دار اقرا الدولية للنشر والتوزيع ومن ثم تم إخراجه في صورة سلسلة فريدة تحمل مسمى (موسوعة إبداعات مهارية وإشراقات تربوية ) وتشتمل على خمس كتب:
1- إستراتيجيات ما وراء المعرفة ومهارات الفهم القرائي.
2-التعلم التعاوني وتحليل النص الأدبي وهذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا.
3- خرائط المفاهيم وتدريس الفقه.
4- الكتابة ومهاراتها.
5- القراءة ومهاراتها.
وقد اعتمدي الكاتبة في كتبها الخمس على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي التجربي والدراسة المقارنة التطبيقية الميدانية فكانت الأولى من نوعها في هذا الجانب التربوي.
