Book Description
تُعَدُّ ظاهرة المقصور والممدود من الظَّواهر اللُّغوية المهّمة شَأنها شأن الظواهر اللغوية الأخرى، مثل: التَّرادف والتّضاد والتَّصحيف والتّحريف والمثلث والإتباع والمزاوجة والمشترك اللَّفظي والمذكر والمؤنث والمثنى السماعي والضاد والظاء وغير ذلك من الظواهر الأخرى.
ولم يقلّ إهتمام اللُّغويين القدماء بهذه الظاهرة عن إهتمامهم بالظواهر الأخرى، ولما كانت هذه الظاهرة بهذه الأهمية الكبيرة؛ قام المؤلف بتحقيق شرح قصيدة ابن دريد في المقصور والممدود الذي حاول فيها صاحبها وهو ابن دريد أن يضمنها مجموعة من المفردات مقصورة وممدودة تؤدي معنىً واحداً أحياناً وتؤدي معنيين مختلفين مرة أخرى، ومما زاد من أهمية هذا الشرح أنَّه للعالم الأندلسي المعروف ابن هشام اللخمي الذي شرح المقصورة الدريدية وقد أتمم الأستاذ مهدي قاسم هذا الشرح تحقيقاً وتوثيقاً وتخريجاً بعد أن أوجز شيئاً عن مؤلف هذا الشرح.
