ويلاحظ القارئ أن سامر خير حاول أن يمر بقصائده على عصور مختلفة من الحداثة العربية ليقطف من كل حقل وردة، فتخرج قصيدته بثوب جديد ومختلف.. فيقول في قصيدته 25 يناير : منذ الخامس والعشرين
من شهر يناير
صار الاسم الشائع في العالم والإنترنت
"ثائر"
للصبيان ، و" تحرير"
للبنت
أسماء لا تمحو أسماء البحر
ولا أسماء الصحراء...
في حين ينتقل من المباشرية إلى التأمل البسيط الجميل في قصيدته " لا بد من عقل " :
حين نقبل مثل الخيول
على جبل الحب أو سهله
في سماء الحبيبة
لا نتساءل عما وراء الجبل
حين نقبل كالنحل في الحقل نحو الزهور
المضيئة في الليل لا نتساءل عما وراء العسل
ولكننا إن غضبنا وثرنا فلا بد للعقل
في نشوة الفعل
أن يتساءل عما وراء الأمل .
