قام المؤلف بتأليف هذا الكتاب من أجل وضع تصور لحركة إنسانية تسعى لبناء مجتمع إنساني سليم. وهو يقول: لقد قمت بتقسيم هذا الكتاب إلى ثلاثة أقسام رئيسية على الشكل التالي:
القسم الأول: حاولت فيه ترجمة الفلسفة الإنسانية إلى قيم سلوكية.
القسم الثاني: حاولت فيه طرح تصوري كيف يمكن أنسنه الأنظمة الاجتماعية.
القسم الثالث: طرحت فيه تصوري كيف يمكن البدء في ممارسة الأنظمة الإنسانية في المجتمع الإنساني في نطاق استراتيجية تطبيقية.
كما قلت لا يعتبر هذا الكتاب أكثر من رؤيتي الشخصية للتحرك الإنساني في مسارات قد تؤدي بالنتيجة إلى علاج المشاكل والقضايا العالمية الخطيرة التي يعاني منها العالم وهي الفقر والتخلف والتعصب بأشكاله المختلفة والتضخم المالي والبطالة وتلويث البيئة وتلف طبقة الأوزون، والمخاطر العسكرية والنووية.
