في هذه الأضمومة الشعرية يتضافر الخيالي والواقعي في رسم بنية الذات المتألمة. وهذا ما يتأكد من منطوقات النص الفجائعي (ما ظنوه وداعاً عند تلة الجنائز) الذي يبتدىء كمبكي شعوري، بقدر ما ينبني كتكوين لغوي، حيث استطاع الشاعر أن يقيم تلك العلاقة ما بين اللغة والموت، بل أكثر من ذلك يبدو التماهي الجوهري ما بين الكلمة وما تدل عليه من شعور الفقد والغياب؛ المتولد من حدث الموت. إذ يحاول "منير عوض" أن يجعل من حدث الموت المؤكد مجرد شكوك، كما يحتال بنص فارط في الحزن والمجازية على الواقع، حيث تبدو نبرة معاتبة الغائب ساطية ومتأصلة، حين يخاطبه بلوعة الثاكل (كيف سأسير بعد اليوم دون أن يشير الآخرون إلى بهجة في عينيك تسر إلى روحي معنى الحياة؟ / وكأننا حكمة نقشها المارون بأقدامهم على حواف الأرصفة؟!/ ألم يكن هناك حل غير الغياب".
